Box Office: Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani trends better than Dangal, Pathaan & Bajrangi Bhaijaan on weekdays

Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is fast heading towards emerging as a success story at the Indian Box Office. The movie impressed the viewers with its content and the same has translated into a superlative trend at the box office. The Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt film has collected Rs. 73.33 crores in its first week, putting the film in a good spot to emerge a clean hit in the long run.

The film collected approximately Rs. 7.02 crores on Monday and then saw a jump in business on Tuesday to Rs. 7.30 crores, followed by another Rs. 6.90 crores day and finally a Thursday of Rs. 6.21 crores. The film saw excellent holds on the weekdays and the trend indicates a big run in the weeks to come by.

 

The effective drop from Monday to Thursday is less than 10%, which makes it the best-trending mainstream Hindi film of the last decade. The weekdays hold for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is better than cult blockbusters like Dangal, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Pathaan, 3 Idiots, and Baahubali 2 among others. However, we don’t intend to say that the film will end up doing business as big as the aforementioned films but the trend is a definite landmark for a film in today’s time as this has never been seen before for a feature film that’s just catering to urban section of audience.

 

With this trend and appreciation, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani will be looking to collect more than Rs. 150 crores at the domestic box office, yet again speaking about the brand of Karan Johar in the family audience of metros.
