Box Office: Padmaavat is now the 5th highest All Time overseas grosser
The Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmaavat created a storm at the box office on its release. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali the film has been doing brisk business despite facing hurdles in the run up to it release. In the international markets where Padmaavat did not face issues with its release the film’s business has been touching new highs. Now after its three week run at the box office, Padmaavat has emerged as the fifth highest all time overseas grosser.
Collecting USD 29 million in the overseas markets Padmaavat has managed to surpass the business of previous releases like Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected USD 29 million, Dilwale that collected USD 25.6 million, 3 Idiots that collected USD 25.5 million, Sultan that collected USD 24.38 million, and My Name Is Khan that collected USD 23.5 million. However, the business of the film does not manage to surpass the collections of certain other releases like Dangal that collected USD 230.08 million, Secret Superstar that collected USD 124.14 million, P.K that collected USD 47.2 million and Dhoom 3 that collected USD 31.1 million.
Now, given that Padmaavat still continues to run in select locations all that remains to be see is whether the business of the film manages to cross the USD 30 million mark.
