Box Office: Opening Weekend collections of Tamasha vs Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's previous releases
On Friday last week we seen the release of the Imtiaz Ali directed Ranbir Kapoor - Deepika Padukone starrer Tamasha. Despite rather mixed

Surprisingly, the film which collected Rs. 38.23 cr hasn't been able to break the record of their previous released Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani that collected Rs. 62.11 cr on its opening
weekend.
Tamasha, however, has emerged as the third highest grosser of Ranbir Kapoor leaving behind some of his blockbusters like Barfi! which collected Rs. 34.60 cr, Rockstar that
collected Rs. 33.60 cr and even Rajneeti which collected Rs. 33.63 cr.
On the other hand, Tamasha hasn't been able to surpass Deepika Padukone's commercial blockbusters like Happy New Year which collected Rs. 108.86 cr and Chennai Express which
collected Rs. 100.42 cr. However, coming in sixth the film manages to post in more collections compared to the 2015 release of the actress, Piku which collected Rs. 25.22 cr, and
Cocktail that collected Rs. 36 cr.
