Box Office: Munna Michael brings Rs. 3.25 crore on Monday, Lipstick Under My Burkha netts Rs. 1.28 crore

 

With Sunday showing some good growth, Munna Michael was in a tad better position when compared to Friday and Saturday. However, what was also needed was for the film to stay ultra stable during the weekdays. This had to start from Monday itself as the collections needed to be Rs. 4 crore or at least very close to that.Box Office: Munna Michael brings Rs. 3.25 crore on Monday, Lipstick Under My Burkha netts Rs. 1.28 crore

 

The film managed Rs. 3.25 crore though and that's a drop from the Friday numbers of Rs. 6.65 crore. The Sabbir Khan directed film has collected Rs. 24.92 crore so far and at this pace the first week collections should be in Rs. 33-34 crore range. Ideally, these should have been the weekend numbers for the Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nidhhi Aggerwal starrer.

 

Meanwhile, Lipstick Under My Burkha showed good growth when compared to its Friday numbers [Rs. 1.22 crore]. It brought in Rs. 1.28 crore more and this has resulted in the overall numbers standing at Rs. 7.08 crore. Though these may seem like low numbers on an absolute scale, one also needs to consider the fact that the film's budget is just Rs. 6 crore and the release too was just across 400 screens.

 

In that perspective, the film has showed good hold with its target audience and that would allow the overall total to go past the Rs. 10 crore mark. The manner in which it is going, a verdict of an Average grosser at the least is there for the taking.
