Box Office: Lipstick Under My Burkha collects Rs. 64 lakhs on Day 11, total 15.36 cr

 

The much talked about Alankrita Shrivastava directed film Lipstick Under My Burkha released over a week ago. After initially facing censorship issues the film which was lauded overseas finally hit screens in India. Starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Aahana Kumar, Ratna Pathak, Vikrant Massey and Sushant Singh, though wasn’t never really expected to be a box office benchmark setter. However, despite this the film opened on a rather modest note and even witnessed growth in business as the days progressed. In fact, Lipstick Under My Burkha that released alongside the Tiger Shroff starrer Munna Michael raked in Rs. 10.96 cr within its first week in theatres. Continuing to hold its own despite newer releases in the form of Indu Sarkar and Mubarakan hitting screens the film has now managed to draw in a further Rs. 4.4 cr within four days in its second week, out of which Rs. 3.76 cr came in on its second weekend.

 

With this the total collections of Lipstick Under My Burkha current stands at Rs. 15.36 cr. Given the current trend, the film which hot 400 screens on its release is expected to continue its march over the coming days nearing the Rs. 20 crore mark.
