As the monsoons seem to be finally setting in, we take a look at the first half of the year from a business perspective. In this Box Office analysis, we take a look at the records that were set in the first half of 2014.

Not surprisingly, it is the Salman Khan film Jai Ho that rules the roost with the maximum number of records, while the much talked about Arjun Kapoor- Alia Bhatt starrer 2 States comes in a close second. However, the small budgeted Kangna Ranaut film Queen surprisingly manages to make it to the list with the Highest Opening Day to Lifetime Multiple of 33.88, the Highest Opening Weekend to Lifetime Multiple (India) 6.1 and the Highest Opening Week to Lifetime Multiple (India) 3.24.

 

But then again records are meant to be broken, and the second half of 2014 promising to be even better with big releases like Kick, Happy New Year and P.K.
