Box Office: Half Girlfriend becomes Balaji Motion Pictures second highest opening day grosser

 

The Arjun Kapoor – Shraddha Kapoor starrer Half Girlfriend directed by Mohit Suri released yesterday. In this box office report we take a look at the opening day collections of Half Girlfriend while comparing the same to previous films released under the Balaji Motion Pictures banner. Interestingly, collecting Rs. 10.27 cr Half Girlfriend ranks as the production house’s second highest opening day grosser, coming in just after the 2013 release Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara that had collected Rs. 11.25 cr. On the other hand Half Girlfriend does manage to surpass other releases from Balaji like Shootout at Wadala that collected Rs. 10.1 cr, Udta Punjab that collected Rs. 10.05 cr, The Dirty Picture that collected Rs. 9.54 cr and Ragini MMS 2 that collected Rs. 8.43 cr.

 

Now all that remains to be seen is whether Half Girlfriend that has received rather mixed reviews will manage to surpass the collections of previous Balaji releases as time progresses.
