Box Office: Dangal nearly 200 crores short of Sultan to become the highest worldwide grosser of 2016

 

The Aamir Khan starrer, Dangal directed by Nitesh Tiwari released last week on Friday. The film that is based on the life of wrestler Manahvir Singh Phogat and also marks the Bollywood debut of Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh has opened well at the box office. In this box office report we take a look at the worldwide collections of Dangal while comparing the same to previous releases. Interestingly Dangal that started off at the box office with a bang has already managed to gross Rs. 350 cr at the worldwide box office.

 

On the other hand, though the film enjoys an unopposed run at the box office, what remains to be seen is whether the final tally of box office collections surpasses the collections of Salman Khan’s Sultan that collected Rs. 567 cr.
