Box Office: Chehre collects Rs. 40 lakhs on Day 1; Bellbottom makes Rs. 80 lakhs on Day 9

Yesterday we saw the release of the Amitabh Bachchan – Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre. However, the film took off to a lacklustre start with predictions indicating not much improvement in the days to come. On the other hand, the Akshay Kumar starrer Bellbottom continues its run at the box office.

Reports suggest that Chehre has managed to collect Rs. 40 lakhs on Day 1, a rather dismal opening which is currently being attributed to the low key reviews and the ongoing Covid-19 protocols that have greatly diminished occupancy rates in theatres. Bellbottom that received positive reviews and feedback from the audience continues its run managing to rake in double of that Chehre did on Day 1. In fact, Bellbottom has collected Rs. 80 lakhs on Day 9.

 

Currently, going by performance and predictions, Chehre faces an uphill task to draw the audience to theatres and will face a hard time to post decent collections, while Bellbottom is likely to see growth in collections over the weekend.
