Box Office: Business Report Card of Actresses for the year 2015

 

Earlier we gave a review of some of the Top Male celebrities in Bollywood with reference to their box-office performances in 2015, the year that was. Continuing in the same vein, in this Box Office Box Office: Business Report Card of Actresses for the year 2015

 

report, we compare the box-office collections of some of the top female stars in terms of cumulative box-office collections and average per movie collections. Not surprisingly, it is Deepika

 

Padukone who features at the top with her release Bajirao Mastani out beating its competition at the box-office to emerge as the winner. However, while Deepika who featured in three releases

 

last year, Piku, Tamasha and Bajirao Mastani tops the cumulative charts with Rs. 327.03 crores, she comes in fifth in terms of per movie average collections with Rs. 109.01 crores.

 

 

Interestingly, the second spot is claimed by Kareena Kapoor Khan despite featuring in just a single release, Bajrangi Bhaijaan with an aggregate collection of Rs. 320.34 cr. When compared in

 

terms of per film average collections, since Kareena featured in a single release, her average remains the highest at Rs. 320.34 cr, topping the list. Following Kareena in cumulative collections is

 

Sonam Kapoor with a total of Rs. 229.42 cr, from two releases Dolly Ki Doli and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, however in the per movie average chart, Sonam ranks fourth with collections of

 

Rs. 114.71 cr.

 

On the other hand, Kajol and Kriti Sanon who both featured in a single release Dilwale last year come in second and third place respectively in the per movie average chart with average

 

collections of Rs. 150 cr. while in terms of cumulative collections, they rank sixth and seventh respectively.
