Box Office: Baahubali 2 [Hindi] opens 500 Crore Club - WHAT A BAAHUBUSTER!

 

Baahubali 2 [Hindi] has opened the Rs. 500 Crore Club. The film has managed this feat in its fifth week run and that is remarkable since there are perhaps just 10 films every year that actually manage to go this far in theaters just from the presence perspective, leave aside the collections. In case of the SS Rajamouli directed epic war drama, not just has the film held on to screens, it has also brought collections on a humongous level on day by day basis, hence registering such unprecedented numbers.Box Office: Baahubali 2 [Hindi] opens 500 Crore Club - WHAT A BAAHUBUSTER!

 

The film has now left behind the highest grosser of the current times, Dangal [Rs. 387.38 crore] by more than Rs. 110 crore and that is a mighty lead that it has taken. For films to come, the competition won't be with the Aamir Khan and Salman Khan starrers that have ruled the Rs. 300 Crore Club; they would now have to jump past the Rs. 400 crore milestone in quick time and then head for that Rs. 500 Crore Club.

 

The last time when films held records for months and years in succession, it was with Hum Aapke Hain Kaun [1994] and Gadar - Ek Prem Katha [2001]. These two All Time Blockbusters were highest earners of those times and now Baahubali 2 [Hindi] has managed such a feat 16 years after the release of the Sunny Deol starrer.

 

No wonder, while there have been All Time Blockbusters and there would be All Time Blockbusters, all of that would pale in comparison unless it matches the out of the world feat of the BAAHUBUSTER that goes by the name of Baahubali 2 [Hindi].
