Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Box Office Estimate Day 1: Collects Rs. 14.75 crores; emerges as Kartik Aaryan's biggest opener

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has revived the Hindi Film Industry in a big way by bringing smiles on the faces of every person even remotely associated with showbiz. The film opened to an excellent response on Friday, recording several houseful shows across the board. According to early estimates, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has taken a start in the range of Rs. 13.75 to Rs 15.75 crores. The collections can be slightly higher or lower depending on how strongly the single screens and non national chains have fared.

The occupancy grew from strength to strength through the day with night shows running with solid occupancy above 60 percent. The reports of the film are encouraging, and this should ensure a healthy trend at the box office. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has ended the drought at the box office after back to back failures like Jhund, Bachchan Paandey, Attack, Jersey, Runway 34 and Heropanti 2.

 

The movie has also emerged the biggest opener to date for Kartik Aaryan by surpassing his previous best, Love Aaj Kal 2 [Rs. 12 cr.]. The opening is a result of a lot of factors - the Bhool Bhulaiyaa brand, the Anees Bazmee brand and the pull of Kartik and Kiara Advani in the youth. The trailer was also cut well followed by a good padding from hit music. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is also the biggest non holiday opening till date in the middle of pandemic surpassing the collections of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi.

 

The stage is now set for the film to witness an upward trend on Saturday and Sunday.
