Bhediya Box Office Estimate Day 1: Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon film collects Rs. 6.50 crores
Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon's Bhediya scored low numbers on its opening day as per the limited samples we have received. According to early estimates, Bhediya has collected in the range of Rs. 6 to 7 crores on Friday which is much below what a film of this scale should have done on the opening day. In fact, the actual target for Bhediya was a double-digit start and then grow from thereon.
The opening day biz is average as the expectations were a lot higher. The three national chains are looking to collect around Rs. 3.25 crore plus on Friday, whereas the non-nationals have put up 2x the total.
From hereon, it's all about growing on Saturday and Sunday and then putting up a Monday higher than Friday to have a shot at reaching a respectable number in the long run. The film is a creature comedy that appeals to the youth. Though there is competition from Drishyam 2, the film has enough screens and showcasing to get footfalls. In fact, the target audience of both the films is also different, leaving enough scope to put up a double-digit mark on Day 2 and 3.
