Badhaai Do Box Office: Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer does decent on Saturday, collects Rs. 2.72 cr

Badhaai Do had decent collections on Saturday as the collections came to Rs. 2.72 crores. Yes, this is better than Friday collections of Rs. 1.65 crores but still there is a lot of ground that the film needs to cover. After all, it does have good enough credentials in the form of Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, and both of them have seen bigger successes to their name.

The film is getting impacted due to the night show restrictions since this is the kind of film where one can expect better footfalls during late evening and night. However, with the last shows beginning at 7 pm, there is an impact being felt, especially in the Delhi NCR region where there is better reception expected due to the local flavour. There are more states which are allowing 100% occupancy too now, including UP and Tamil Nadu, and though there is no audience for the film in the south, at least up north this should help.

 

There are talks of the Delhi and Haryana governments also allowing 100% occupancy and night show relaxations soon. If that has to happen, it needs to be now so that it can help Badhaai Do in its first week. Second weekend onwards would be too late as the film needs to cover a much greater distance than Rs. 4.37 crores that it has accumulated so far.
