The gangster drama, Antim: The Final Truth, has passed the crucial Monday test as the film has raked in collections in the range of approx. Rs. 2.75 to 2.95 cr. taking the four-day total to approx. Rs. 21.46 crores. The film is in a good position right now as hold in collections on Monday suggests that it would be the second successful Bollywood film of last 20 months after Sooryavanshi. The drop is around 50% of first day and one expected a little better hold.

The industry is surprised by the biz of Antim as not much was expected from it prior to the release.

 

Antim isn't a conventional Salman Khan film, but more of a vehicle spearheaded by Aayush Sharma with the able support of Salman's shoulder. And his presence has boosted the collections in a big way as without him, the opening weekend biz would have been under Rs. 3 crores. He isn't the protagonist but someone driving the film in a role that completes the thread of this gangster drama.

 

The movie is headed for a first week figure little under the Rs. 30 crore mark, and this is indeed a decent figure as Antim is indeed the first non event film to get any initial at the box office in the midst of this pandemic.
