Unique marketing tie-up for 'Taxi No. 9 2 11'
United Television [U.T.V.] has inked a three-movie deal with Star TV. The deal envisages production of three big-budget movies in this first phase. Star TV would fund the entire production for co-sharing certain rights. The schedule for these motion pictures will be 18 months to release.
With its strong media marketing mechanism, Star TV will promote the films in India and abroad, while U.T.V. will take full responsibility from concept to execution and release.
Star TV would own television rights worldwide in perpetuity and U.T.V. theatrical and home video worldwide in perpetuity. The movies will have a full-fledged theatrical release and will be screened on television only a year after its theatrical release. Specifics on the projects will be announced by early January.
