The highlight of the evening was veteran singer Asha Bhosle making her ramp debut along with Hema Malini, Oscar winning costume designer Bhanu Atthaiya, Priyanka Chopra (looking fabulous in a neon green saree), Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra. Day 1 of Lakme India Fashion Week 2013 closed with Bollywood's ace designer Manish Malhotra show "Celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema", which was inspired by the three main eras in Indian Cinema. He paid homage to the distinctive styles of every iconic period.
The show opened with Karan Johar, followed by Anurag Kashyap, Dibarker Banerjee and Zoyak Akhtar. All the directors were dressed in black. -
