Cottagecore or countrycore fashion reached modern day style in 2019 due to influencers on TikTok. Since then the whilmsical aesthetic of the trend ain't going nowhere. According to Urban Dictionary, Cottagecore (also known as Farmcore and Countrycore) is an aesthetic and fashion style inspired by romanticized interpretations of rural and farm lifestyles. But how is it going viral now? Pandemic hit and staying at home became the common place for everyone around the world. Soon, bringing outdoors indoors became the new aesthetic and that's how cottagecore came into play. The romantic breezy style has remained one of the top trends in 2021.
The romantic floral prints or white dresses were worn by influencers and now it has reached celebrity closet too. Though period dramas have often helped boost trends, the influence of TikTok and Instagram Reels added more charm to it.
