Following several years of courtship, Fukrey actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal tied the knot and hosted a few intimate ceremonies in Delhi and Lucknow followed by a wedding reception for their friends in the industry in Mumbai. The actors were delighted to celebrate their new phase in life with their friends. The couple has been sharing moments from the celebrations on social media.
Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal were seen on the dance floor at the after-party dancing to the beats of ‘Teri Baaton Mein’ by Raghav. The actor was dressed in all-black attire whereas Richa wore a printed lehenga and changed it to pants with a similar print, later on.

The couple cut a five-year wedding cake as well. They arrived on the red carpet and posed for the paparazzi. The newlyweds also distributed sweets to the media outside the venue.

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal share a cute moment on stage as they exchange rings at their Mumbai reception last night which was attended by close friends and family! The couple looked stunning in custom made outfits. Richa wore Anamika Khanna and Ali wore London based designer Kaushik Velendra.
In a statement, it was revealed that the couple registered their wedding in 2020. The note began with Richa saying, “Two years ago we formalised our union and just then the pandemic hit us all,” before Ali added, “Like the rest of the nation, we too were struck by personal tragedies one after the other.” The couple then said, “And now, as we all enjoy this window of respite, we are finally celebrating with our families and friends. We are so so very touched and blessed by the love and blessings coming our way.”
Earlier this week, in Lucknow and Delhi, the couple hosted their mehendi and sangeet ceremonies which were characterised by their love for nature with the decor being inspired by nature with a lot of natural elements like florals, jute, wood etc. The couple did a fun “phoolon Ki holi” as their friends and family showered them in a customary way. This was followed by mehendi for Richa and her friends in a colorful set up. The evening was followed by performances by their friends and cousins. Richa’s best friend from childhood did a fun surprise performance for the couple, while her brother sang her a song and did a Bhangra performance too. The couple then danced on two songs including their popular song from Fukrey, ‘Ambersariya’.
For unversed, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, who have been dating for a really long time, were originally meant to be wedded in April 2020, but owing to COVID-19 restrictions, the wedding was positioned twice. The two reportedly met on the sets of Fukrey in 2012 for the first time. The two will soon be seen sharing screen once again in the third installment of the Fukrey franchise.
