Divya Agarwal is a popular Indian television actress, model, and dancer. She is well known for her participation in several MTV India reality shows. More recently she featured in the music video titled 'Ishq Nibhava' which was released on Friday, August 6. The song depicts the long-distance relationship between characters played by Divya and Shakti Arora. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Divya spoke about the music video and her equation with actor Varun Sood with whom she is currently in a live-in relationship.
Talking about why she chose to be a part of the song, Divya said, "Any song that I do, I want to first hear the song. If it is pleasing to me if I personally love the song only then I go for it. I think when I heard the song for the first time it felt very relatable and it is about a long-distance relationship and which I am going to soon have. It’s a beautiful song and I have never done something like this.” While Divya who has been dating Varun Sood will soon be in a long-distance relationship when she enters the Bigg Boss house said that she has never experienced that feeling of being away from the loved one. “I haven’t experienced long-distance relationships ever in my life but it seems after this song, it seems like it’s quite painful. So I really don't wish for it," she added.
Divya further spoke about the increasing popularity of music videos and working with Shakti Arora. "I think music videos are starters to your grand plate and the more the merrier. You get to work with different actors for a very short time. Because songs are hardly like shot in one, two, or maximum of three days. Experimenting with these actors for a short period of time is a really good call and I hope people see that chemistry between me and Shakti and hopefully we get to work more together. It is amazing being around him as an actor. He was quite a professional and he was quite respectful and he really let me explore my corners and we were quite cordial with everything that was going on the set," she said.
When asked how she manages to develop chemistry with her co-stars when working on music videos, she explained, "I wouldn't say it is very easy for me, but it comes very naturally being a dance choreographer. I have danced with a lot of men in my life and it has always come out very beautifully because the entire focus was to make it look appealing, to make it look real, to make it look relatable, and if I can show my chemistry the way I am in my real life with Varun with any of the actors on screen I think I can call myself a very successful actor."
Further talking about her live-in relationship with Varun and how it has helped nurture their relationship, Divya said, "I think it is a beautiful step. I mean, Varun and I would really want our kids to explore something like that in their life. I don't know if that will be a far-fetched call but then this has really helped us to work it out in a relationship. When we were teenagers, we had relationships where we used to continuously ask each other about their well being, aks each other about their whereabouts. It used to really bother, us being in a relationship to really inform our partner about our whereabouts. So, I think living-in has really cut off all those small questions and answers about each other. It has really brought us closer for a meaningful conversation. Every time we have a conversation it is either meaningful or about the household chores which we have always seen in our families too. And it has actually brought us very much closer and we know now when we get married how we are going to work it out and it won’t come as a surprise because for half of the people it comes across as a surprise when they actually get married and they start living together because that's another who struggles of a couple. I think we have beautifully managed to sustain in this relationship."
