Directed by Siddharth Anand the film, which hit 8000 screens worldwide, has also received positive reviews from critics. Thanks to this, Pathaan opened with a bang and continued to see its business hold steady over its five-day extended weekend.
In the overseas market of U.A.E/G.C.C. Pathaan started similarly on a high note with AED 5.88 million [Rs. 13.05 cr.] coming in on day 1. Following this, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer saw its business hold steady with AED 5.77 million [Rs. 12.80 cr.], AED 7.19 million [Rs. 15.95 cr.], and AED 6.24 million [Rs. 13.84 cr.] coming in on its second, third and fourth day respectively. Now on its fifth day running Pathaan has managed to draw in a further AED 4.04 million [Rs. 8.96 cr.]. With this, the total collections of Pathaan at the U.A.E/G.C.C market at the close of its opening weekend is pegged at a massive AED 29.06 million [Rs. 64.49 cr.].
While currently, Pathaan continues its stunning run at the box office, going forward, trade predictions state that the business of Pathaan will continue to see growth with each passing day. In fact, estimates state that Pathaan could easily emerge as one of the highest opening week grosser in this market.
