Pathaan Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan starrer scores a BIG Sunday, all set to conquer KGF: Chapter 2 [Hindi] today :Bollywood Box Office

It was a BIG Sunday for Pathaan as a huge Rs. 28.50 crores came in. In 2022, films were struggling to get this much on their first Sunday and here the film is earning as much on the second Sunday. Only The Kashmir Files earned Rs. 26.20 crores on its second Sunday when it went on a rampage, though it had started at Rs. 3.55 crores. As a matter of fact even pre-pandemic, there were just a few films which scored anywhere close to this on the second Sunday and invariably they were supported by a holiday period which aided in bigger numbers to come in.

Here, over Rs. 400 crores had already come by Saturday and still there was an audience base which was waiting to catch the film on the second Sunday, which shows how big this Siddharth Anand directed phenomenon has truly become. The film is still the lone horse in the race with zero competition around it and as a result, there is so much capacity available that even with 30%-40% occupancy in general, big bucks eventually come in by the time the day is through.

As a result, the Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer stands at Rs. 429.90 crores and now it's time to aim for the next big frontier - KGF - Chapter 2. The Hindi version of the Yash starrer had collected Rs. 434.70 crores less than a year away and that record is set to be history today, albeit with all languages.
