It has been three weeks since the release of the Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2, but the film has not slowed down even in the slightest at the box office. After a strong opening, the business of the film, which also stars Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, and Shriya Saran, has been seeing consistent growth in collections with each passing day. In fact, the business of Drishyam 2 which was well received by the masses has managed to hold strong week after week despite newer releases hitting screens.
In this box office report, we look at the third week collections of Drsihyam 2 while comparing the same to previous releases of 2022. Collecting Rs. 32.82 cr in its third week running, Drishyam 2 has now emerged as the third highest third week grosser of the year. Following just behind previous releases KGF – Chapter 2 which collected Rs. 49.14 cr and RRR which collected Rs. 38.20 cr, the Ajay Devgn starrer has surpassed the business of other releases this year. Interestingly, when compared to non-dubbed Hindi releases, Drishyam 2 stands as the highest third week grossing Bollywood release.

If that was not enough, when compared to all-time previous releases Drishyam 2 has managed to break into the Top 10 highest third week grosser. Claiming the ninth rank, Drishyam 2 has managed to surpass the business of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Padmaavat which had collected Rs. 31.75 cr, and Sanju which collected Rs. 31.62 cr amongst other releases.
Currently, Drishyam 2 continues to run in theatres with the audience patronizing the film in droves. Given this trend, trade estimates that the business of Drishyam 2 will continue to see growth. In fact, the film which has managed to rake in Rs. 196.30 cr till now, looks set to cross the Rs. 200 cr mark in the coming days.
