2022 has been a rather slow year for Bollywood releases at the box office, with just two-film viz. Gangubai Kathiawadi and The Kashmir Files making good money at the ticket counter. However, this week things are about to change with the Kartik Aaryan – Kiara Advani starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Directed by Anees Bazmee the film which is a sequel to the Akshay Kumar starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa has so far enjoyed a good spate of advance bookings. Going by the current estimate, the film has seen around Rs. 6.9 cr. nett coming in from advance bookings.
As per reports, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has been seeing a positive trend at the box office, with most major national multiple chains claiming a stellar advance booking rate. This coupled with positive reviews for the film is expected to drive business further on its opening day. Though a collection of Rs. 15 cr and over would be highly optimistic, the collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 are expected to hover around the Rs. 11-13 cr. mark on opening day.
Interestingly, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 being a massy entertainer is expected to see an increase in footfalls at single screens as well on day one. This coupled with a high rate of spot booking could easily propel the film into becoming Kartik Aaryan’s highest opening day grosser. However, clocking this figure relies heavily on walk-in audience and positive word of mouth that will drive sales.
