British pop singer and former One Direction member Zayn Malik has often embraced his South Asian lineage. The singer is known to have watched Hindi films and happens to like Shah Rukh Khan. So, when he shared a throwback picture of his father with a legendary veteran actor, it left the Indian fans into frenzy. Zayn Malik shared a vintage photograph of his father with veteran actor Dilip Kumar. The black and white photograph shows a smiling Dilip Kumar with Zayn's father striking a cool pose. He simply captioned the picture, "Abu with Dilip Kumar."
Recently, Zayn Malik became the cover boy for Elle India magazine where he opened up about Bollywood and Shah Rukh Khan. He had met the superstar in 2015. "I personally wasn't a huge fan until I met him. I realised how humble he is. Really showed a different side to him. He always came across as slightly arrogant in the movies to me but when I met him in real life, he was so nice. He just completely changed my opinion of him," he told Elle magazine.
In the magazine interview, Zayn Malik admitted that he used to watch Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan while growing up. He revealed that Devdas happens to be one of his favourite films of SRK and he even made his supermodel girlfriend Gigi Hadid watch the film.
