Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are all set to tie the knot on May 8 in an intimate ceremony at her aunt Kavita Singh's plush bungalow Rockdale in Bandra. While the official festivities will begin tomorrow evening, the bride and her brigade look amazing and all geared up for the D-Day. The festivities began with mehendi ceremony at Anil Kapoor's residence
For the mehendi ceremony, Sonam Kapoor chose a peach and gold lehenga and she looks radiant, needless to say! The groom-to-be Anand Ahuja kept her company as she got ready for the D-Day. He chose a pink bandhgala with a white churidaar! The two look blissful together in their colour coded ensembles.
Cousins Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor too are all dressed up in wedding regalia as they got their hands painted with henna. It sure is a festive time for the Kapoors and no stone is left unturned to make sure that Sonam has a perfect wedding of her dreams. Boney Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Karan Johar, Jahaan Kapoor, Kunal Rawal, Masaba Gupta, Rani Mukerji, Pernia Qureshi- all of Sonam's close family and friends are in attendance.
Mom Sunita Kapoor personally looked into the decoration at their plush Juhu bungalow and even lit up the entire lane for her darling daughter’s wedding. Aside from this, the Sangeet practice is in full swing as the entire Khandaan is set to perform on Bollywood hits at the ceremony tomorrow. Judging by the leaked pics and videos, it is sure going to be a star-studded event. The main wedding will be complete with a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony on May 8 followed by a party at The Leela. The Kapoors have requested that this is a private moment for the family and therefore some media discretion is requested.
The formal statement from the family read, “The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the May 8 in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
