Well, DP recalled the time she watched his first film Band Baaja Baaraat and told someone that he is not her type. Later, they ran into each other at a resto bar and well, Ranveer Singh who already was a smitten kitten was trying desperately to hide something from Deepika!

Speaking at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in New Delhi, Deepika went nostalgic about her first impression of Ranveer and revealed that she told her agent, who was convinced that Ranveer will be a star one day, that she is not sure because he is not her type. She further said, “I didn’t realise he was a Bombay boy, he was so flawless in that film. I thought he was from Delhi. It’s one of my favourite films of his.” Later, when they ran into each other in a restaurant, she even asked him, “Oh, wow, you’ve moved to Bombay?” She had no clue that he actually is a total Bandra boy. Ranveer had another version altogether. He said that he ate prawns and had broken into hives and so was hiding her face. At that time the moderator interjected and said it must have been the most memorable birthday of your life because your gift of life walked in! Ranveer agreed and said, “Imagine!” He later said, “But my one takeaway from that meeting was ‘how can anyone look like that’.” This led to a lot of awws and oohs from the audience and his lady love blushed on the cue.
