The Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bahrucha and Sunny Singh starrer Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety released a couple of weeks back. Directed by Luv Ranjan the film which received positive reviews has been witnessing good growth in business since its release. In fact, the box office collections of the film have now managed to surpass the collections of the Akshay Kumar starrer Pad Man that had released a while back. In this special report, we take a look at the collections of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety while also analysing the profit the film has made for its makers.
Developed on a budget of Rs. 43 cr (Cost of Production of Rs. 32 cr + Pring & Publicity Rs. 11 cr) Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has managed to rake in a surprising Rs. 86.76 cr at the box office till its third weekend. From this the makers of the film stand to earn approximately Rs. 39.04 cr, which coupled with the earnings from the Satellite, Overseas, Digital and Music rights that fetched approximately Rs. 20 cr has earned its makers a massive Rs. 59.04 cr. The final earnings are expected to be around Rs. 63 cr. Considering this, the makers of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety stand to make approx. Rs. 19.75 cr. as pure profit with a 45.93% as Return on Investment (RoI).
However, since Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety still continues to run in theatres and enjoy the audience’s favour despite newer releases hitting screens, the overall total collections of the film are expected to be even higher. Given this fact, the final tally of profit the makers of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety stand to make at the end of its theatrical run are as well expected to be higher.
