The final track Man Mohana sung by Bela Shende is yet another soft track with tunes like that of a bhajan.
It's is a situational track that might not be pleasing to all but even in this the blending of various instruments is just mind-blowing.

2 of 2 people found this review helpful Jodhaa Akbar is definitely not your run-of the-mill film and its music has a quality of exclusivity to it. It is everything that one would expect from a film of its grandeur and scale. The meticulous choice of words by Javed Akhtar and the masterly touch imparted by Rahman's music all go on to make it a true connoisseur's delight.

2 of 2 people found this review helpful Inn Lamho ke Daaman mein sees Sonu Nigam and Madhushree excelling in a song that demands restraint and passion. Azeem-o-Shaan Shahenshah is a paean to an emperor, and every bit as regal.
The instrumentals are in keeping with Rahman’s class. A wholesome experience, this.

The album opens with Azeem-o-shaan shahensha a song which sketeches a perfect grandeur image of the times of Akbar with a liberal use of big instruments. The lyrics of this song in particular are very different and one might feel a touch of Lagaan in them...

Jashn-E-Bahaara has also been reworked into an instrumental offering, and it has the privilege of officially ending the wildly anticipated soundtrack of Jodhaa-Akbar. Unlike Khwaja Mere Khwaja's instrumental, where the entire piece was re-written, Jashn-E-Bahaara is your more typical instrumental, where the arrangements are left alone, just the vocal renditions are replaced by an instrument of choice, in this case it would be the flute. We may be deprived of Javed Ali's sweet vocals, but we are still blessed with Rahman's caressing melody.

Rahman takes to the microphone for Khwaja Mere Khwaja, a sufi qawwali, that's at once devotional and soothing. The ease with which Rahman hits the high notes gives the whole song an exalted feel.

After the soulful qawwali, its prayer time once again, with 'Man Mohanaa', a bhajan or a devotional number, dedicated to Lord Krishna, God of love, also referred to as "Kanha" or "Man Mohanaa" (charmer of the heart), as in this number. It is obviously a situational track, sung during troubled times of war and revolt...

1 of 1 people found this review helpful Mann Mohana sung by Bela Shende is a bhajan which doesn't register with the listener in the first go. Perhaps another singer like Shreya Ghoshal would have done more justice to the song since Bela sounds a little frail at the vocals.
Overall, an enchanting experience.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful Rahman has once again proved that what he composes is of a completely different genre, standard and calibre. He stands in a place where there can be no competitors; his is a level that cannot be matched.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful It's when music created imagery that a thumping sing can be called soulful enough! Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah will bring the battle right into your house, the sword will tingly, war cries will be imminent and don't be surprised if you look back to find a army line-up. The song is a perfect combination of an emporer's anthem and a war bell. Be sure to have a great system to exactly understand the precussions and details on this song. Hats off to Shahenshah.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful Yet the album holds its own with the opening track, Azeem-o-shaan Shahenshah – a tribute to the Mughal Emperor and Jashn-e-bahaaraa – a soft romantic ballad. While Rahman embellishes the first track in an almost-operatic fashion, the second one has minimal instruments with the melody ruling supreme.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah - Mohd. Aslam, Bonny Chakravarti This is one of the most visual track I have heard in recent times. The sound designed has to be heard on a good system to be believed, you will practically see a battle scene, the army being lined up, war cries in your living room.

2 of 2 people found this review helpful Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah: We have heard this in the movie trailers and promos. This song glorifies Akbar to the zenith. The song has a terrific start with trumpets, battle drums with chorus vocals. Has A R Rahman's stamp right from the beginning. A very good mix of classical music, battle drums, tabla, and bass make it an extremely catchy song right from the first listening.
