3 of 4 people found this review helpful The plot of 'Kidnap' had everything going for it until the creator decided to incorporate some irrelevant scenes and idiotic logic (some would even leave you in splits!) to perhaps add the glamour and commercial quotient.

0 of 1 people found this review helpful Imran Khan as the sometimes weak-sometimes ruthless criminal is superb. He's perfectly cast, for despite the character’s dark streak, Imran makes it impossible to dislike Kabir.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful The action sequences are not bad, especially the parkour-inspired chase sequence that seems to depict Khan essaying some vertigo-straining leaps and bounds around the faade and insides of an under-construction building. But they also highlight how woefully out of shape Dutt has allowed himself to become.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful 'Kidnap' reminds you of 'Zinda' since the story is somewhat similar to that flick. This too involves an abductor, who is trying to settle his previous scores and a hostage.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful Sanjay Gadhvi treads the same, all style and no substance, path once again. The Dhoom series, if not for a great script, had fabulous performances and memorable characters. But in Kidnap except for the gorgeous beaches and action scenes, nothing works.

1 of 3 people found this review helpful In the very first scene here, young Minishha Lamba blears out, "You're kidding me", something you mutter under your breath throughout. The heroine is forced to a 9 pm curfew by her dutiful mother. The camera turns to the mother.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful Imran Khan is brilliant as Kabir and looks very hot and fits the role to the T. He is effortlessly wicked and clever. There are layers to this kidnapper; he has a heart and a conscience and he is not immune to pleasures of the flesh.

3 of 4 people found this review helpful The very title 'Kidnap' and its prognosticating prologue keep your guessing quotients locked. Fine! The motive of Imran Khan abducting the victim is merely not for money. But when the suspense gets unraveled in its decisive moment, you would regret for ludicrous intentions of the young lad.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful Sanjay Gadhvi's KIDNAP is all about a game played by the kidnapper, Kabir (Imran Khan), and Vikrant Raina (Sanjay Dutt). The poor viewer is caught in this senseless sequence of events that oscillates from silly to preposterous as the demands of Kabir borders on insanity to say the least.

4 of 6 people found this review helpful Sanjay Gadhvi's thriller may be low on Dhoom this time, but young Imran Khan more than makes up for the sluggish pace and the mediocre script. His transition from the sweet, chocolate boy hero of his debut film, Jaane Tu...into a mean, merciless, embittered and scarred vengeance-seeker is smooth and convincing.

Kidnap has a smart storyline with well-etched plot-points giving ample scope to both its key players to take precedence in the game without overshadowing the other at any instance.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful What works in this film are the locations. With breathtaking shots of some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Kidnap, it must be said, has been quite well shot. Also executed interestingly are some of the action sequences.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful The script by Shibani Bhatija is the weakest link of this film. It tries to be a drama in the guise of a thriller & it doesn’t stay true to any of the genres.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful Imran Khan holds the film together by rising above the shoddy script solely by dint of his performance. Though he doesn’t do anything stellar, there’s something about him that catches your eye whenever he is on the screen.
