3 of 3 people found this review helpful The first half of Kismat Konnection is a joyride throughout. It has funny, light-hearted and cute moments all at once and you really find yourself enjoying everything with the characters. The second half is a bit lengthy but is just as much fun. You're rooting for Raj till the end and he makes you feel nervous for him, laugh with him and feel sorry for him throughout.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful This is a film that could do away with those witty wise-cracking crackling words of eternal romanticism made by hearts that know no impurity and malice. The narrative flows with calm assurance, bringing in its wake several interludes of heart-warming tenderness...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful Right off, it has to be admitted that director Aziz Mirza's Kismat Konnection avoids vulgarity and viciousness. It's about little people who are as chaste as the morning’s toothpaste...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful The movie shines in patches. There are a few scenes that are very well handled, but the rest is just your normal Bollywood fare. One instance is when Vidya and Shahid try to tell their feelings to each other at a party; another is when Vidya is agitating against the mall coming up. However, these scenes are few and far between.

0 of 1 people found this review helpful The music of the movie had been one of the biggest plus factors, and that was also the saving grace. Like I mentioned earlier, if Vidya has this magic of making pairings work onscreen, Shahid has this gift of making song picturisations look spellbounding...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful Kismat Konnection has all the trademark themes of an Aziz Mirza film- the struggle of the everyman to survive and succeed, the conflict between morals and ambition, and of course love and romance- why, even the main leads are called Raj and Priya...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful Kismat Konnection starts on a promising note but soon resorts to conventional formula. Storywise, the movie works in parts but fails in totality. If you don’t mind cheesy scenes and dialogues, then the movie might even entertain you...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful There is nothing much in Kismat Konnection that warrants a trip to the nearby movieplex. If you must watch this Aziz Mirza movie, go for it with absolutely no expectations. At the box-office, a, open week and no release last week would result in a decent opening...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful Director Aziz Mirza pulls out every other plot point from his old hat and applies it in this film -- guy uses girl to further his career, guy falls for girl but she's already engaged...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful Had the film sustained its light heartedness through the second half, it would have been an easy watch. This is Mirza's first film in five years, but he's still hung-over on his past films and its memorable characters. Having enjoyed them all in the past, one wishes Mirza took up a fresh palette on which to work his future story and characters...

1 of 1 people found this review helpful 'Kismat Konnection' begins quite well – funnily highlighting the blows of fate the hero has to survive in daily life. It plods when Juhi Chawla enters the scene and hams with no holds barred...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful That's it. There's not much to this rather flimsy story line which is strung together by many different incidents. We wish, we could say this is a brilliant piece of filmmaking that will stay with you for much longer after you've left the theatre, but it isn't...

1 of 1 people found this review helpful The film isn't highly intellectual or so and isn't in any manner preachy or unique. It's been done but it's the treatment and simplicity that works here. Aziz Mirza even at 66 has a lot to offer and from no angle does the film look devoid of any youthful element.

2 of 2 people found this review helpful It's a light and breezy film, perfect for two kids out on their first date. Shahid Kapoor is the quintessential lover boy, and he proves he can axcel in comedy as well as dramatic points within the film. He proves there's a reason that he's been compared to Shahrukh Khan, not that he resembles him, but rather he reminds you of SRK's nineties chocolate boy days...

2 of 2 people found this review helpful Kismat Konnection is a typical Aziz Mirza film. It does get a little predictable but it does not drag too much, thankfully. The storytellling is simple and effective. Everyone has been in the protagonist's shoes at one time or the other so we can relate to it...

1 of 3 people found this review helpful Staring at the computer. Checking the thesaurus. Wrecking my brain. Checking thesaurus again. There is really no other word for "predictable" that wholesomely describes Kismat Konnection’s story, dialogues, character transformations, etc, etc, etc. The title clearly says that it's all konnected by kismat.

0 of 3 people found this review helpful Kismat Konnection starts on a promising note but soon resorts to conventional formula. The second half drags with Raj's repeated attempts to win the construction contract. The love triangle is clearly off-track and is simply enforced to manipulate that mandatory sangeet song sequence to appease the family and NRI audiences...

1 of 3 people found this review helpful Having said that, Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan's latest flick Kismat Konnection works at some levels. Loosely based on Just My Luck and even more loosely based on Two Weeks' Notice, the film is one of those 'family movies' that may just 'connect' at the box office.

4 of 4 people found this review helpful The movie is very simple without any 'mirch-masala' or item number...yet this very simplicity is the reason which manages to hold the viewers interest because it makes the film look more believable and realistic. There is a lot of humour in the film but thank God that director Aziz Mirza's sense of humour is very subtle...
