Of course, adults and kids are not mutually exclusive targets as an audience. But, unfortunately, the bits for adults in Return of Hanuman will be enjoyed only by adults and same goes for the parts that kids would enjoy. Thus, overall, it is one of those which you would want the option of multi-tasking with. At home along with work or play and a movie on in the background.

Lord Hanuman requests Lord Brahma that he wants to be born on earth and have fun like the kids here. His request is granted and Hanuman is born as a pundit's son. His parents call him Maruti, realising that he is not an ordinary child, but an avatar. Maruti has an insatiable appetite and a penchant for falling into trouble even as he has extraordinary powers.

The story is unique as there is a clear definition of present day scenario and supreme powers.Likewise, the execution gets weak after the initial 20 minutes with the end coming in as a sheer need.

With entertainment, the film also subtly incorporates the message of NO to plastic and how we humans are destroying our own planet. Overall, Return of Hanuman is a good film for the kids to enjoy this holiday season.

It could become a rocking franchise – the continuing adventures of baby Hanuman. Indeed the animation is pretty okay – no comparisons with Pixar or Disney please. And besides belting out entertainment, there are wise little lessons too.
