‘Dhol’ is funny, but only in patches. Alongside hilarious scenes are sequences that drag and bore you. The songs are another spoiler. Yet, the movie is not a bad watch.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful The film starts off really well, with numerous funny moments. But the plot drags on endlessly, to the point that the audience starts getting restless. The first half is funny, though without much progress in the story. The second half, with the flashback and suspense angle meanders aimlessly.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful Four deadbeat aimless young men Gautam (Kunal Khemu, decent), Sameer (Tusshar Kapoor, trying), Pankaj (Sharman Joshi, over the top) and Markand (Rajpal Yadav, hamming) one day decide that the only way to get on in life is to marry a rich girl. On cue Ritu Tripathi (Tanushree Dutta, over made up and awful actress) drops in to live in the neighbourhood with her grand parents (Om Puri and Farida Dadi).

4 of 5 people found this review helpful At the end of the day armed with only a few original and good scenes one gets a feeling of deja vu watching Dhol. If senseless cinematic liberty driven comedies excite you, then flock to your nearest theatre or else just pick up a DVD of Priyadarshan's earlier film Hera Pheri, kick back and relax.

0 of 2 people found this review helpful This one is about four wackos (Yadav, Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Sharman Joshi) who keep slapping, hitting, tripping and kicking one another. And they’re supposed to be good friends.

4 of 4 people found this review helpful Dhol starts off with a hint of mystery and killing putting the audience into a state of confusion about the genre it deals with. The first 15 minutes of the movie is sluggish and slightly boring. The sequences that follow are hilarious and truly entertaining.

2 of 2 people found this review helpful Four friends, Sam (Tusshar Kapoor), Pakkya (Sharman Joshi), Goti (Kunal Khemu) and Maru (Rajpal Yadav), want to make it big in life but with the least effort possible. Each one tries their hand at finding a short cut to success but ends up getting in even deeper trouble instead.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful Dhol is about four friends Sam (Tusshar Kapoor), Pakkya (Sharman Joshi), Maru (Rajpal Yadav) and Goti (Kunal Khemu). They have no ambitions or certain aim in life. So the group looks for shortcuts to success and money, but more often than not ends up in trouble.

3 of 3 people found this review helpful The film may necessarily get the tag of a ‘paisa vasool’ but yes it is something you will love to catch up with a group of pals. Going with a weird outlook at cinema will help while watching the hilarious scenes.

5 of 7 people found this review helpful Rajpal Yadav is the best among the four. He is not only innovative but also different from the rest of the three actors in his style of comedy.
The other three actors -- Shraman, Tusshar and Kunal are not that bad either. Om Puri in grandfather's role, however, is unimpressive. The film's heroines, Tanushree and Payal Rohatgi , are a complete waste.
