The biggest drawback of the film is the loose script. It just doesn't work. It starts of as a suspense thriller but then deviates in the second half to something totally else. A simple narrative would have rather helped the cause much better but what it has ended up is being - a scary documentary on female foeticide.

A strange, B-grade effort, this ghost-o-rama sends you screaming out of the auditorium for fresh air and sanity. Worth a skip.

Gauri – The Unborn falls into two unusually diverse genres of being a 'horror' and 'social' film at the same time. If you watch it from the former viewpoint, the film has a couple of thrilling moments to offer. If you watch it from the latter viewpoint, the acceptance of the moral becomes subjective.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful The only good thing about the film is its star cast comprising Altul Kulkarni, Rituparna Sengupta and Anupam Kher. Atul and Anupam were at their usual best. Rituparna was just about okay. Audience expected a lot more after her powerpacked performance in Main Meri Patni Aur Woh. The actress should seriously try to improve on her accent and Hindi diction.
