3 of 6 people found this review helpful Obviously, a film which is peopled with characters named Ghungroo & Majnu is not planning on taking itself too seriously. So we don't either, and quite early in the film abandon any effort to look for a plot. But even by the standards of the regulation harebrained Hindi comedy, this one is a complete downer...

4 of 7 people found this review helpful 'Welcome' holds significance, as it is 17th communion of Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. Besides this unification, it's Anil Kapoor and Feroz Khan coming together after 21 years. The lady luck seems to be smiling big and high with Akshay Kumar as 'Welcome' will surely be one big grosser of this year.

3 of 5 people found this review helpful Anil Kapoor steals the show, once again proving his brilliance at the Tom 'n' Jerry game with his inimitable quips and priceless cues. Every scene featuring the actor, especially the ones where he paints or feels threatened, has the audience breaking into fits of hysterical laughter. What an entertainer...

4 of 9 people found this review helpful Anil Kapoor, looks to give some of the younger actors a run for their money with his acting stint. Paresh Rawal is good, yet again. Katrina and Mallika are okay. Feroz Khan and Vijay Raaz also excel in their roles.
Overall, Welcome has enough to pull you till the theatres and with this excellent review in hand, you can't say no to this comic caper for long. So, go for it.

3 of 6 people found this review helpful Welcome is the absolute opposite of Taare Zameen Par. It has no craft, content or ambition to stimulate your mind and heart.
This film can't even manage continuity so scenes jump from Dubai to Khandala seamlessly...

5 of 8 people found this review helpful The film is a series of comic, usually unrelated vignettes that appear as separate episodes of a tele-series: Some work, most don't. If you can stomach the relentless nature of it all, few quick portions are actually hilarious. Catch this in parts then. Else, much easier to flip channels on the telly.

11 of 18 people found this review helpful The film completely belongs to the Anil – Nana jodi who keep you rolling with laughter with their one liners. Both are in complete form together. Akshay's role doesn't require any histrionics but he does his seedha saadha act adeptly. Katrina looks hot but is more of a showpiece in the film. Mallika in her limited part amuses...

5 of 8 people found this review helpful Welcome is nothing but a few set of comical situations put together to make a movie. The movie lacks content, continuity and chemistry. Remembers, its the chemistry between the lead actors that does the trick in most mindless comical entertainers. The editing is below average, a few scenes were cut off even before it actually ended.

6 of 9 people found this review helpful Welcome is just brainless because nobody associated with the film seems to have used judgement, intelligence or even basic common sense while working on this picture...

3 of 6 people found this review helpful Yahoo, hit hai bhai hit. But is this cinema? Big name stars, some yawned-there-snored-there-slapstick-humour (car without brakes on Dubai streets), a child peeing into the camera, women as bheja bandhs and homophobic jokes calculated to get the gallery hooting against gays. You still want more downright rude-crude stuff?
