The first half hour is tortoise slow, repetitious and the finale's a bit of a cop-out. Shuttling between hyper-fantasy and stylised reality (reminiscent of earlier lulu capers like Raghu Romeo and Waisa Bhi Hota Hai), frequently this all-in-a-night's-work flick does become much too self-indulgent for comfort.

'Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local' runs on an unusual track, as a matter of fact trying to explore the unexplored; but instead of continuing its interesting journey, unfortunately goes off track and faces derailment.

The movie is weird and very unusual. It has the occasional flashes of brilliant black humour. Oh and did I mention that it is weird? Abhay is good, Neha overacts and the rest of the cast screams.

Ek Chalis Ki Last Local is not one of those films you simply have to watch on the first day, but then you don't want to miss it either. If you have nowhere to be or nothing to do, you'd rather make that trip to the theatre.

ECKLL offers something new but not necessarily entertaining. A lot of time is wasted in the first 45 minutes coupled with a lethargic pace. Once the bar sequence begins, the film picks up and gets you excited but again your hope comes crashing down when the series of events that follow are rather unbelievable, coupled with some real crude humour to make you cringe in your seat...

Dhai Ghante mein Dhai Crore, reads the tag line. I'd say Dhai ghante mein paisa vasool. Director Sanjay Khandoori delivers a hit with his maiden flick. From just Rs 70 in his pocket to being the waaris of Rs 2.5 crore!! In the inner recesses of your mind you can hear Eurythmics belting "sweet dreams are made of these... who am I to disagree..."

'Ek Chalis Ki Last Local' is worth one watch and memorable for a few thrilling scenes-something that multiplex audiences will relate to and enjoy.

Although the movie looks good, it's ridiculous to comprehend. You might chuckle at the Rajnikant mimicry but by the end you leave the hall feeling like you've just wasted your money.

Director Sanjay Khanduri has hit the bull's eye in his very first attempt as a director. The debutante easily qualifies as a fantastic story teller. The cinematography has its own flavor and goes on well with the plot of the film. The background score of Amar Mohile is a bit loud and harsh, which should have been noticed by the makers of the film.

Abhay Deol has an interesting 'Mark Ruffalo' like innocence and childlike quality but looks completely lost in this enterprise. Neha Dhupia has become the industry's first choice to play a prostitute. Other than Laree Choote, the soundtrack is uninspiring.
