9 of 9 people found this review helpful If one looks at the film holistically, it is a love story between Akshay and Vidya, held firmly with the baby and the boys. At another level, it’s also a story of wild guys being tamed by a baby.

2 of 2 people found this review helpful Aroush (Akshay Kumar), Tanmay (Ritesh Deshmukh) and Ali (Fardeen Khan) are three playboy room-mates residing in Sydney, Australia. They romance, dine and bed a number of women without thinking of how much hurt they might cause to them. One fine day, there is a knock on the door which changes their lives forever.

It's primarily the performances that save Heyy Babyy from being another run-of-the-mill comedy. If Akshay is his usual boisterous self, then both Fardeen and Riteish are competent as his funny buddies.

Living in Sydney, three confirmed bachelors, Arush (Akshay), Ali (Fardeen) and Tanmay aka Eddie (Riteish) are enjoying life and treating women as objects of their lusty desires. One morning a baby girl lands up at their doorstep in a basket with a note attached saying – kutte kameene apni beti ko sambhaal.

The film itself is Leonard Nimoy's Three Men And A Baby (1987). Only to the point that it's about three bachelors: in this particular case, unattached, unemotional philanderers perennially playing the dating field. They land up with an unclaimed infant at their door-step. The baby initially makes their life hell, and you know soon enough, she'll permanently alter their unemotional lives as well.

‘Heyy Babyy’ starts off very well but begins to lose steam mid-way. Thankfully, Akshay Kumar shows his incredible comic flair once again and invokes genuine laughs from the audience. The movie has many hilarious scenes but the ones featuring Akshay turn out to be the best.

The basic plot, borrowed from Three Men And A Baby, focuses on three happy-go-lucky bachelors (Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan and Riteish Deshmukh) who discover a baby girl outside their house one morning with a note saying it belongs to one of them. In their own way, they try finding out who among them is the father and eventually fall in love with the baby.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful Don’t nappy, be happy. Legs-lips-`n’-limbs of bimbos are the obsessions of three blokes, one of whom even croaks, “I carry more condoms than money in my pockets,” rolling his merry-go-round eyes out of their sockets. Hee hee?

1 of 3 people found this review helpful Heyy Babyy goes from gross comedy to over-the-top drama and that's the film's biggest failing. I can understand Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh are upset that the baby's been taken away by her real mother, but their obsession over the baby comes off as both contrived and melodramatic. It all looks very fake.

16 of 27 people found this review helpful The actors do okay, but are trapped by the script and Khan's surprisingly, disappointingly, heavy-handed handling of emotion. Akshay Kumar inevitably manages to salvage some laughs, channelling his Garam Masala and Jaan-E-Mann characters. Fardeen's not too bad, clearly at ease playing the brat in male-bonding comedies. Riteish Deshmukh is reliably credible, but it's the kind of role he needs to stear clear of now. Vidya Balan looks pretty, but all she does in the film is get lied to -- perhaps an indication of how she signed on after reading this script.

3 of 8 people found this review helpful Sajid’s three men and a baby (No, it’s not a complete remake) try to be funny, but a dirty diaper thrown on Akshay Kumar’s face holds no big hahaha.
Riteish Deshmukh and Fardeen Khan too fail to find the funny bone.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful What follows are the three men's helpless efforts at babysitting her, feeding and cleaning her alternately, getting exhausted and dirtied themselves. The three are also seen making a list of all the women they have slept with in the past one year for they are sure that that one of them is the mother of the baby.
