Weekly Worst Dressed Celebrities: Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Huma Qureshi make some unflattering choices!

Fashion is ever changing and also an instant language to strike a chord in this fast-paced world! However, it differs vastly from style which is often a result of blending comfort with the trends that resonate with us. Tinsel townies sometimes go on a style rampage – the results can either be engaging or disheartening. While they are often touted as the best interpretations of their fashion stylists, they can err too and end up in the worst dressed category! This week saw Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhasker jump aboard the promotional bandwagon for their movie, Veere Di Wedding. Snapped at the screening of the movie, while Sonam and her overly striped style play failed to evoke a wow, Swara’s tacky bralette ruined her otherwise stunning #OOTN. The GQ Best Dressed 2018 party saw Huma Qureshi and Patralekhaa make some unflattering style choices.

While some of these celebrities have always maintained a pace of classy styles, their recent experimental shenanigans have failed to please us. This week, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Huma Qureshi and Patralekhaa stumbled into the worst dressed side. Here’s how they fared.

Weekly Worst Dressed - Sonam Kapoor Ahuja

Styled by her sister and co-producer of Veere Di Wedding, Rhea Kapoor - Sonam chose Rahul Mishra separates. She flaunted milkmaid braids, nerdy glasses, minimal makeup and a pair of flats. While we loved the runway version of the ruffle crop top shirt and Kirchhoff trousers from the designer’s Spring Summer 2018 collection, the extra sleeves on the already frilly top failed in balancing the whole look.

Weekly Worst Dressed - Swara Bhasker

Styled by Chandini Whabi, Swara attended the Veere Di Wedding screening wearing separates from Pinnacle by Shruti Sancheti. Chunky earrings, strappy sandals, nude pink lips, defined eyes and a half-updo rounded out her look. With the exception of the skimpy bralette, we loved the breezy and easy separates from the designer’s Spring Summer 2018 collection to the hilt.

Weekly Worst Dressed - Huma Qureshi

For the GQ Best Dressed 2018 party, Huma who was styled by Anisha Jain of Style Cell chose the powerful pantsuit with separates from Two Point Two. Earrings from Misho Designs and strappy Louboutin sandals complimented subtle makeup and sleek hair. Our major grouses are the jacket that weighs down the look and strappy sandals. Minus the jacket and with the addition of pumps, Huma could have worked this look to the hilt.

Weekly Worst Dressed - Patralekhaa

For the GQ Best Dressed 2018 party, Patralekhaa wore a silver gown by Lecoanet Hemant. A sleek updo and stunning makeup rounded out the look well. Our only grouse were the largely unessential fathers on the bodice of the gown that pulled the look down for us.
