In the fashion riddled industry where most celebrities are a representation of their fashion stylists, some abide by comfort and a signature style. This truly sets them apart from the others as they go on to conquer varied aspects of style with their movie, promotions, brand endorsements, red carpet appearances and other public appearances. While experimenting all whilst retaining a signature style is attempted by many bit aced by few, this week was all about risque styles on the fore. This week saw Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Anushka Sharma take some stunning style risks. The divas ventured into the experimental territory and had us hooked. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha too experimented with their styles but it failed to blend in with their personas.

Best Dressed – Deepika Padukone

Styled by Shaleena Nathani, Deepika donned separates from Maison Valentino for an interview featuring a high-neck silk satin blouse and wide bottom matching pants. Christian Louboutin pointy toes, subtle makeup and a low back hairdo rounded out her look.

Best Dressed – Sara Ali Khan

Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Sara promoted Simmba wearing a quirky muli-hued Abu Jani – Sandeep Khosla short number with black Louboutin pumps. Wavy hair and subtle makeup rounded out her stunning promotional style.

Best Dressed – Shilpa Shetty

Styled by Mohit Rai, Shilpa slipped into an orange Jacquemus slit dress with delicate baubles and Jimmy Choo sandals. A sleek high ponytail and minimal makeup rounded out her classy vibe.

Best Dressed – Anushka Sharma

Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, Sanam Ratansi and Sukriti Grover, Anushka promoted Zero wearing a Damascus embroidered kaftan gown by Monisha Jaising. Delicate baubles, subtle makeup and wavy hair rounded out her look.

Worst Dressed – Sonam Kapoor Ahuja

Styled by Rhea Kapoor, Sonam wore a Lado Bokuchava structured dress with a pair of high leather boots, large hoops, slick pulled back hair and nude makeup.

Worst Dressed – Alia Bhatt

Styled by Ami Patel and Sanjay Kumar, Alia appeared for an interview wearing a Galvan London jumpsuit with open-toed sandals. A textured ponytail and nude makeup rounded out her look. Our major grouses with this style include the poor choice of footwear, an off-beat colour that fails to suit Alia’s chirpy persona and a silhouette that fails to flatter Alia’s petite frame.

Worst Dressed – Sonakshi Sinha

Styled by Mohit Rai, Sonakshi attended a wedding reception wearing a neo-ethnic saree by Anamika Khanna. Jewels by Amrapali, golden sandals, sleek hair and minimal makeup rounded out her look. The ill-flattering silhouette of the ensemble fails to woo us!
