Sonam Kapoor’s wedding was all things filmy and fun. Lot of things went down between the who’s who of Bollywood at the shaadi of the year and we…can’t…even! First of all, we can’t wrap our heads around the fact that everyone from the industry from the star of the evening Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan to Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and the bride Sonam Kapoor and her newly wed husband Anand Ahuja BURNED the dance floor like there was no tomorrow! Amidst all this was Boney Kapoor, Anil’s older brother, was present with daughter Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor and we could help but reminisce that only too recently has he lost his wife Sridevi in Dubai.
In addition to this, he lost his first wife Mona Shourie Kapoor to cancer a few years ago. For the uninitiated, Boney went against his first wife to marry Sri in the 90s therefore causing a rift between him and kids he had from his first wife: Arjun and Anshula Kapoor. But too much water has flown under that bridge and the Boney is re-united with his kids. His eldest one put up a brave front when Sri passed away and was with his dad the whole time. Anshula, Khushi and Janhvi are now an unbreakable team and this family portrait of them clicked at Sonam Kapoor’s reception is a living testimony of this fact. We are so proud of the kids who are united despite facing so many difficulties.
On work front, Boney is making a biography as a tribute to Sridevi who recently was awarded with the prestigious National Award posthumously for her performance in Mom. Janhvi is gearing up for her debut Dhadak under the able tutelage of Karan Johar and Arjun is busy with the shoot of Namaste England with Parineeti Chopra.
