REVEALED: Why Hrithik Roshan did not feature on Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan 5

Director – producer Karan Johar has been on a roll this year with his talk show Koffee With Karan 5 featuring some of the biggest names in the industry. Stars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and host of others featured on the show. However, one star, who is also known to be very close to KJo didn’t make an appearance on the show this time. We're talking about none other than Hrithik Roshan.

REVEALED: Why Hrithik Roshan did not feature on Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan 5

Though the fifth season of the show is still on we have learnt that Hrithik Roshan will in fact not feature on the show at all. The reason behind this is the fact that Hrithik Roshan apparently backed out of show for a specific reason. Apparently, Karan Johar had invited Hrithik to feature on Koffee With Karan 5, along with the option to promote the actor’s then yet to be released film Kaabil. However, Hrithik insisted that he would feature on the chat show so long as his Kaabil co-star Yami Gautam would also be a part of it.

Now looking at the list of celebrities who have featured on Karan’s show as guests, Yami Gautami did not really classify in the same category of stars and didn't qualify for Karan's muster of guests. While the filmmaker tried his level best to convince Hrithik Roshan to make an appearance on the show, the latter stuck to his guns insisting on the inclusion of Yami. Feeling snubbed by the actor’s bull headedness, we hear that Karan Johar eventually dropped the idea of featuring him on this season’s show at all.
