Readers may recall that Bollywood Hungama had earlier reported about J.P. Dutta planning to bring in real life officials from the Indian Army in order to provide physical training to the lead actors of his upcoming film Paltan. Needless to say that, J.P. Dutta is leaving no stone unturned to make his film look as authentic as possible.
Speaking about the same, Siddhanth Kapoor (who plays an important role of a soldier in Paltan), revealed that the reason why J.P. Dutta had decided to rope in only a handful of junior artistes and appoint real- life soldiers to feature as officers in the film was to make the film look extremely convincing. Meanwhile, J.P. Dutta stated that the lead cast of his film have already kicked off training with the Indian Army personnels. He added that his cast needed to keep themselves totally fit as Paltan was a war film with lot of action. With the timely help from the Central Government, J.P. Dutta had got all the required permissions to shoot in the sensitive zones near the Indo- China border. The film’s shooting will get started in September in Ladakh.
Directed by J.P. Dutta, Paltan stars Arjun Rampal (who will be playing the role of a Lieutenant Colonel in the film), Abhishek Bachchan, Pulkit Samrat, Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood, Luv Sinha, Siddhanth Kapoor and Suniel Shetty in prominent roles. As far as leading ladies are concerned, there have been no details on the same.
