After writing the sensitive Taare Zameen Par, Amole Gupte was next seen as an actor in Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminey. His role of the crooked politician 'Bhope Bhau' fetched him a lot of acclaim from the critics and the masses. Now Amole will be next seen in the satire Phas Gaye Re Obama which releases shortly. Amole Gupte: Niraj...Abrar Alvi- the screenwriter for all Guru Dutt films, Ritwik Ghatak as a writer and director- he also wrote the Hindi film Madhumati, Mehboob Khan, G R Kamat, and many more.

Amole Gupte: I consider Sant Tukaram as a pioneering feat from Indian cinema. It won the Golden Bear at Venice in 1936.

Amole Gupte: shweta...depends on the film. I session with children who have never seen the face of the camera.
