Just when one thought that all was quiet on Shah Rukh Khan’s end for way too long, the ‘baadshah’ has struck, and how. For
some news during the fortnight gone by, have been forced to take backseat.
“Shah Rukh’s spat at the Wankhade stadium is not just the talk of the town; it is talk of the entire entertainment world. There are debates all over
around right v/s wrong and though his supporters from within the industry are painting a ‘victim’ picture of his, those in the outside world are carrying
mixed opinion. In either case it works in reaffirming how strong is ‘Brand Shah Rukh’. Anything that he does makes big news and this incident is no
different”, says a media consultant pundit.
The incident though has threatened to gate-crash the party for Salman and Aamir who were finding very good publicity coming their way for Ek Tha
Tiger and ‘Satyameva Jayate’ respectively.
“It is sad but then it’s true”, says a veteran filmmaker, “Bad news travels the fastest and negativity sells the most. Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger was
trending the most ever since it’s teaser was launched but sadly, it has now been relegated to the backseat due to Shah Rukh making it to the front page
of national dailies. On the other hand Aamir’s TV show was being discussed and debated for a fortnight and even though there were debates about
whether it’s TRP ratings were more or less than Amitabh Bachchan‘s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, the enthusiasm around that has been challenged by
Shah Rukh’s act.”
With Shah Rukh getting into a quick act of addressing media about what really happened at the stadium, it is time for other side of the story to be
heard. While the weekend gone by was dominated by him, the closest competition he faced was from Aamir whose third episode from ‘Satyameva
Jayate’ met with yet another positive response.
As for Tiger (Salman) then well, he would have to wait before setting off on a prowl again.
