We had earlier given you a glimpse into the ambitious espionage thriller to be directed by Robbie Grewal, Romeo Akbar Walter. Featuring John Abraham in the lead role, the film will feature the hunk in different and varied avatars. Playing his boss and the chief of RAW will be Jackie Shroff. Besides all of these, we have come across yet another intriguing fact. Recent reports suggest that Sikander Kher will essay the role of the antagonist.

For the uninitiated, Sikander Kher played a drug baron in the last season of 24. His role as Haroon Sherchand was much appreciated. In Romeo Akbar Walter aka RAW, the actor will be seen as the arch nemesis of John Abraham. He is expected to kick off the schedule for the film after wrapping Milan Talkies. If these reports are to be believed, John and Sikander will be seen indulging in war of words in this film.

"I am undergoing readings and workshops," Sikander says, while writer-director Robbie adds, "There will be several sequences where John and Sikander are pitted against each other. During the readings I’ve noticed that the timing is going to be crucial. Sikander makes a great nemesis."

Speaking on the shooting schedule of the film, it will be shot in a start-to-finish, three month schedule, which involves 60 days of rigorous shooting. "We begin in Gujarat; filming continues through Jammu and Kashmir, Nepal, and the schedule ends with some portions being filmed in Mumbai." In fact, Robbie has already taken off on a recce to Jammu where he is scouting for locations.

Interestingly, amidst all the cast, the leading lady of the film is yet to be announced. Co-producer Bunty Walia has asserted that the name of the leading lady will soon be announced. He has also stated that the actress will be joining the crew to shoot for the film, in the Kashmir schedule.

Furthermore, speaking on the avatars of the characters, it seems that the film will have some unique looks that the actors will sport as RAW agents. In fact, the makers have roped in National award winning make-up artist Vikram Gaikwad and popular costume designer Amera Pulwani for RAW.

Produced by Bunty Walia, his wife Vanessa, Ajay Kapoor, Dheeraj Wadhwan and Gary Grewal, Romeo Akbar Walter is slated to go on floor on June 10. The film is set in the 70s and expected to be based on true incidents.
