Film maker Anubhav Sinha comes out in support of Sanjay Dutt starrer BHOOMI. Here’s the reason why!

The Sanjay Dutt starrer Bhoomi is one of the most awaited films of recent times. One of the major highlights of the film is the fact that it is Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film as a hero; post his freedom from jail. The recently released posters of Bhoomi proved to be an instant hit amongst the cinegoers.

Film maker Anubhav Sinha comes out in support of Sanjay Dutt starrer BHOOMI. Here’s the reason why!

Speaking of the posters, recently, a certain section of cinegoers started drawing comparisons between Bhoomi’s posters with that of the Hollywood film Grey, which starred Liam Neeson. Despite the fact that, film maker Anubhav Sinha had no connection with Bhoomi, he strongly stood up for the film and its posters, purely on the grounds of his love for Sanjay Dutt. Anubhav Sinha took to the social media and poured his heart out. Starting with a statutory warning that stated “WARNING- ABUSIVE LANGUAGE ALERT” (which we have blurred), Anubhav Sinha wrote, “Bollywood is so full of some Bizarre, out of work, useless pests. Can't put a movie together themselves and they start running down other people's work the moment a movie gets off the ground. This afternoon saw a FANTASTIC poster of 'BHOOMI' (I have nothing to do with the film but for the fact that I love Sanju). Minutes later another Liam Neeson Poster of a movie called Grey started circulating as the one BHOOMI copied. F*** YOU GUYS!!! It is a bloody close up and I attach here quite a few such posters that for sure did not copy each other. These are posters made of a close up. I think the BHOOMI Poster is fantastic and that's it. Why don't the losers that are sitting on their asses running down other people's work start writing a movie that can be made. Movies are about magic that a large team puts together over years. Blood, Sweat and money goes behind it. If you start talking shit about movies from the point they get off the ground you will ruin the magic. And you mother***ing losers remember if Bollywood does well, chances are you will also get to make a film someday. Sorry about my abusive language. But I am ANGRY. VERY ANGRY!!! So if you can't put a movie together SHUT THE F*** UP.”

Omung Kumar, who happens to be the director of Bhoomi, read Anubhav Sinha’s message and thanked him on the social media by stating, “It is encouraging that while on one side we have people who are on the move to kill the zeal of passionate filmmakers, on the other side, we have people who are empathetic. Thanks for putting it in words Anubhav, what it takes to put together and release it. As long as we have people like you to support and encourage us, the show will go on”.

As for Bhoomi, it is an emotional revenge drama which explores the relationship between a father and daughter. Besides Sanjay Dutt, it stars Aditi Rao Hydari who plays his daughter. The film is slated to release on September 22 this year.
