This week witnessed the larger than life shaadi shenanigans dominating our social media feed of Bollywood’s bonafide fashionista, Sonam Kapoor and Delhi-based entrepreneur, Anand Ahuja. Kick-starting the imminent summer wedding season, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja along with Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor engaged and consciously pulled us into the fold with their sneaky little out of the box offering! Notching up the sneakers with everything trend, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Anand Ahuja and Rhea Kapoor showed the cool way to team them with ethnic ensembles and an even cooler way to pull them off with that enviable aplomb! While Sonam is the poster girl for all things chic, elegant and modish, carrying those resplendent ethnics and sleek western ensembles with equal élan, Rhea is the maverick behind those well-curated styles. Anand Ahuja owns home-grown clothing brand Bhane and multi-brand sneaker store called VegNonVeg. Style lessons from millennial are much-sought-after for the sheer blend of functionality with fashion they offer. Sonam Kapoor’s highly-anticipated movie celebrating girl bonhomie, Veere Di Wedding with her girl gang of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania is scheduled for a release on June 1. The sultry number from the movie, Taarefan saw Sonam set the pace of the song in a stunning pink lehenga teamed with white sneakers! Rhea Kapoor took to this trend at her sister’s Mehendi ceremony with her opulent lehenga. Anand Ahuja teamed his sherwani at the reception last night with Nike sneakers.

The traditional Indian attire, lehenga-choli is classic and often paired with those killing stilettoes or ethnic wedges. But some of us love enjoy the weddings and the festivities! Chunky bangles and rings along with the quintessential white sneakers are worthy additions. Statement earrings, soft wavy hair left open and a stunning makeup round out her reel look!

For his reception last night, Anand cut a dapper picture wearing a black sherwani with white pyjama and white Nike sneakers.

A well-groomed mane and beard rounded out his slick, sharp and functional look!

Rhea donned an intricately embellished Abu Jani- Sandeep Khosla creation with an opulent necklace. Leaving her hair open and with minimal makeup in tow, Rhea looks extremely piqued as she sports her white Nike sneakers!
