Dabangg 3: Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha meet Mahesh Manjrekar and announce the release of the third installment 3 : Bollywood News

It has been a long time since we saw Salman Khan groove as Chulbul Pandey. The actor, who plays a cop in this potboiler, is all set to return with the third instalment of Dabangg. While this was a known fact, not much was revealed about the next film in the series. So there were many speculations that were doing the rounds until recently. Now, the news is that the actors have announced about Dabangg 3 on the eight anniversary of Dabangg.

Salman Khan took to Twitter a day ago to share, “Aaj 8 saal Ho Gaye Dabangg Ko... thank u for all the appreciation and love from Rajjo and Chulbul Pandey...see u in #Dabangg3 next year.” On the other hand, Sonakshi, who plays the role of Chulbul’s wife Rajjo, also posted on the same platform saying, “8 years of #Dabangg, 8 years of #chulbulandrajjo, 8 years of me doing what i love the most! Thank you @beingsalmankhan, @arbaazSkhan, #AbhinavKashyap for making me realize my calling! And thank YOU all, for all the love ?? see u in #dabangg3 next year!!!” They concluded the post by sharing stills from their film.

Not just that. Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha also met up with Mahesh Manjrekar, who plays the role of Sonakshi’s father in the Dabangg franchise and the music director duo Sajid-Wajid recently. In the same post, they once again announced about returning next year. If the pictures are anything to go by, it is safe to say that Dabangg 3 preps seem to have started on full swing.

Furthermore, these pictures and posts also put to rest the rumours about Sonakshi Sinha not being a part of the film. It was earlier being said that Dabangg 3 will be a spin off and will not have Rajjo aka Sonakshi featuring in it. While the actress too denied these rumours, now it has been asserted that she is equally an important part of the film.

The third franchise will also have a different filmmaker coming on board after Abhinav Kashyap and Arbaaz Khan who directed the other two parts. Dabangg 3 is expected to be directed by Prabhu Dheva whereas Arbaaz Khan will be producing it.
