It was indeed a special 52nd for Manish Malhotra who recently turned a year older on December 5. Celebrating the day amidst his family and friends from the fraternity, the designer also had a surprise cake cutting ceremony planned by his best friend and head honcho of Dharma Productions Karan Johar.

Yes, according to recent reports, friends of Manish Malhotra apparently gate crashed the designer’s residence on the eve of his birthday and we got a glimpse of all the happenings on social media. The guests for the night included Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Huma Qureshi, Raveena Tandon, Sophie Choudry, Tusshar Kapoor besides bestie Karan Johar and family member Punit Malhotra. While Manish was more than happy to have his friends surprising him, he was ecstatic to see the cake cutting ceremony that was planned.
The famous Bollywood designer was presented with three cakes to cut along with one of them being three tiered and a glimpse of the same was shared on Instagram by several of the guests as their stories for the day. On the other hand, expressing his happiness over his friends’ sweet gestures was Manish who too thanked them on the same social media platform saying, “Thank you for the wonderful surprise and making the night more special.”
Besides them, Manish Malhotra also spent some time with the evergreen Bollywood superstar Sridevi and shared a picture with her on Instagram saying, “At home with my most favourite @sridevi.kapoor Thank you so much for the love and birthday wishes!”
