Cannes 2018: Black never looked so HOT before Deepika Padukone decided to own it!

Playing dress-up was probably what the doe-eyed diva, Deepika Padukone and her go-to fashion stylist, Shaleena Nathani, had as their agenda for the 71st Cannes International Film Festival 2018. This year marked Deepika’s second stint at the French Riviera and needless to say, she frenched it up, working that svelte frame, dimpled smile and understated exuberance to the hilt. If flitting from one stunning style to another was not enough, Deepika also added a melange of fashionable chapters to her burgeoning book of style! Some of her recent appearances may have garnered flak from the fashion pundits, but Deepika has stood firmly by the side of her stylist and the Cannes chapter certainly proves all the naysayers wrong. Last night saw her pull off a larger than life dramatic pink affair riddled with ruffles on the red carpet – an Ashi Studio ensemble. As she dripped pink from top to toe, we believed things couldn’t get any more dramatic! But Deepika quickly flipped styles and played with the good old black as she attended the invitee’s only party hosted by the luxurious jewellery brand, Chopard. If you have been following Deepika as closely as we have, you would know that solid hues are her favourite. Looking nothing less than her usual spectacular self, Deepika had us sighing in sheer disdain, “How does this woman look so damn gorgeous all the time!”

Deepika chose a black fitted gown by Marcell Von Berlin featuring a deep plunge, larger than life sleeves and a short train.

The diva had the same makeup on that she sported for her red carpet appearance tonight – deepset intense eyes, nude lips, highlighted cheekbones and that severely bronzed face. Additionally, her tight top bun too persisted. She added a finishing touch with Christian Louboutin heels and jewellery from Chopard.

Dressed to impress, rather kill, Deepika Padukone chose the infallible black as her party vibe. Adding elements of sleek was the hairdo and those intense eyes. There’s no downplaying the fact that Deepika ended her Cannes 2018 tidings with all fabulousness!
